Letting Go of Worry

In this episode we focus on worry and how it pulls attention toward the future. We reflect on Matthew 6:34, which says not to worry about tomorrow because each day has its own concerns.

We discuss how worry can feel productive, as if we are preparing or staying ahead, but it does not solve problems. Instead, it drains peace and shifts attention to things we cannot control.

We then turn to the idea of focusing on today. We are encouraged to handle what is in front of us, trust God with what is beyond our control, and recognize that peace comes from trust rather than from trying to control the future.

We close with a prayer asking for help to release worry, return to the present moment, and rest in God’s care and faithfulness.

Randy Black:
It’s found in trusting God with the future.

So today, notice what it is that you’re worrying about.

19

Randy Black:
Then stop and ask yourself this. Is this something I can act on right now?

If not, choose to release it. Let it go.
